This international workshop deals with the richness and complexity of international relations between Lisbon and Rome during the eighteenth-century. The transcendence of the Roman paradigm has been well documented in Portugal, but Lusitanian Rome is still a topic that deserves better attention. From a multidisciplinary perspective, the participants of this workshop will attempt to shed some light on what could be termed a sort of Iberian Grand Tour.
The workshop, organized by Pilar Diez del Corral (IHA), will take place on November 7, 2014, at Anfiteatro 002, 1st floor, Torre A, FCSH-Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The full program can be consulted here.
